Dams
A dam is the mother or female parent of a litter of puppies. In the dog breeding world, female dogs can be called by several different names. We use the terms “dam,” “mother,” and “mama” interchangeably as Pomsky breeders, with “dam” being the most proper version we use. Here are our current Pomsky mamas:
Caiti is one of our “homegirls” born and bred here at Smoky Mountain Pomskies. Sarge was her sire, and Jedi her dam. She is a great combination of both her parents! Caiti possesses a funny personality and loves treats, belly rubs, toys, and her babies. Caiti’s first litter was in January 2022, and she is a natural mother, being attentive and nurturing.
Jitterbug was also born and bred here at Smoky Mountain Pomskies, the daughter of Nova and George. She is extremely light on her feet—almost dancing to greet us—which is where her name, “Jitterbug,” came from. Her beautiful sable coat and bright blue eyes are striking; we love watching her twirl and dance around the yard while she plays. Jitterbug’s first litter was born in January of 2022.
Katniss was bred, born, and raised here at Smoky Mountain Pomskies, the daughter of Moana and Mowgli. Her beautiful face hides her mischievous personality; she is a stealthy squeaker surgeon—no toy is safe with her around. Katniss has a calm demeanor with her puppies and is conscientious of their well-being and care. She also has a blueberry addiction and will do anything you want if you offer her a few berries!
Phoebe was born and bred here at Smoky Mountain Pomskies, the daughter of Sarge and Phoenix. This tiny girl has a lot of personality packed into her ten-pound body! She is obsessed with toys and loves to find ones to hide all over the house. We adore watching her antics and think she’s a pretty cute little mama!
Pumpkin is another of our “homegirls,” daughter of Sarge and Phoenix, and full sister to Phoebe but much larger. This beautiful red girl with green/amber eyes is one of the kindest girls in our pack. She never met a stranger and loves all her friends. She loves toys, belly rubs, and chasing the kids around the yard when they play. Pumpkin has not had a litter yet, but we will be breeding her soon.
